Pros: Great Resolution on sensor, easy access to most commonly needed buttons, features normally only available on higher priced camera’s New Egg shipped fast and at a better price than I could find anywhere, and from a reputable retailer that I trust.

Cons: This is not really a con but I have figured out that the sensor has the ability to record far more resolution and detail than the kit 18 – n135 lens can provide. If youhave the money you may be better off buying body and buying a better lens. I wish that the camera was more weather resistant like the 60D

Pros: Wanted to buy the Nikon D3100. Tried the Nikon out and was not impressed. Tried the Canon T2i camera out at the store and the Canon was idiot proof. The pictures just turn out great. Movement, bad light, it did not matter. So I ordered the T2i. This was my first DSLR camera and now there is no going back. With point and shoots you are lucky to get 1 out of 10 pictures to turn out decent. As I said, this camera is idiot proof. It will grow with you. Your kids are only young once. It is worth its weight in gold. I don’t have time to tell you how amazing your photos will be. The 1080p video is stunning. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE CLASS 10 SD card that does 30MB/s. It will let you maximize the potential in your camera. I was worried about carring a large DSLR camera on trips. Make sure you get a good shoulder bad or backpack to avoid these issues. I go everywhere with this thing and the memories are priceless. Recommend the 55-250 lense. If you buy it in a package it is worth the little extra.

Cons: Video. If you do not buy a class 10 (30MB/s), 200x SDHC card you will have problems with using the full 1080p video. Buy it and forget all video problems. Other Thoughts: I tend to over research everything. Almost to the point of crazy. Simply put, the camera will fit you like a glove and grow with your willingness to learn. Or? If you want to leave the camera on full auto, you can’t lose.

Pros: WOW! No regrets on this purchase at all! I’m so glad I caught newegg’s awesome deal! I got a camera/laptop bag & a tripod! Not to mention that this awesome camera came with this SWEET lens! I have a good range from wide angle, to good close ups in seconds! Man this thing is so cool!!! I’m so glad I bought when I did, because newegg is out of stock now and @m@zon’s prices on this cam are going up everyday!

Cons: GNONE!! (The G is silent…) Other Thoughts: WOW!!

    Pros: Features, 18-135mm lens, price

Cons: none Other Thoughts: What a deal. I have been looking at this camera for a while but never pulled the trigger. Then I saw it on special for $839 w/ free shipping. I got it 3 days later and all I can say is “Wow”. Picture quality is incredible. The articulating screen of the new T3i didn’t interest me as I can see it getting knocked off and there is now performance advantage to the newer model.

Pros: I couldn’t find anything wrong with this whole package. The camera is excellent, especially with the class 10 memory card I paired it with. The kit lens is awesome. I never thought I would say that about a kit lens, but even in my poorly lit house everything is captured beautifully. I hate using auto…well, anything. So, after immediately switching the focus, etc. to manual I was surprised at how easy to control everything was.

Cons: None Other Thoughts: I had been wanting a DSLR for a while and my husband talked me into a Canon. I’m so glad he did!

Pros: I had a T1i (was swiped). Got a 7D last fall. Love, love, love it! HD Video is great, stills are fantastic. Got a Rode directional mic to enhance the audio of vidz (stereo and bass). Tremendous results. Why talk about the 7D when this is about the T2i? Because the T2i does these things just as well (talking about the FINAL results of what you’re trying to capture).Bought the T2i for the Missus and a back-up. In some cases, the T2i might take the lead. I’m talking about when shooting vidz as the T2i has something the 7D lacks – vid auto-focus. That’s a huge plus in certain situations like when the subject is moving towards or away from you at certain ranges. The external mic jack only enhances the capabilities of the camera. It’s the same 18MP sensor as in the 60D and 7D, just that the 7D has 2 Digic4′s onboard. Burst rate isn’t as high as 7D but, unless you live for fast action, the T2i has you covered. The 7D is still my main squeeze but the T2i will always be my dallianc

Cons: Compared to the 7D you can tell the construction is lighter. Still, unless you plan on bouncing the body like a basketball, in the real world you shouldn’t notice any functional deficits as a result.Actually, the lighter body will be a plus to those who carry this camera with them everywhere but don’t use a tripod primarily for support/stability (when compared to the 7D or up). Other Thoughts: With the T3i about to launch the T2i will only slip down in price. You can read about the differences/up-selling of the T3i’s benefits but, unless an articulating screen/Live View finder is a necessity… the T2i will get the job done and for a great value. And facts are facts – $ is $ and for my money the T2i fills the need as a back-up. The T3i will cost more.No regrets picking this up as a back-up to my 7D.I strongly recommend a directional mic as an accessory. Maybe vidz haven’t been as much a part of what you do but… with the quality of what the T2i can capture enhancing the audio will only prove more seductive to adding video clips to your library.I recommend shooting in RAW at least (RAW + JPEG for me) – the ability for enlargements and post-processing are phenomenal with this class camera. I shoot for a living and have done 30×45 enlargements and could go much higher.Grab at least a Class6 card. I’ve had great luck with Transcends.

Pros: Great features, got it for $768 on sale, but even on $900-$1000 its worth every penny. Awesome pictures and video. Bought a Transcend 8GB flash class 6 and works like a charm.

    Cons: None so far.

Pros: Phenomenal image and video quality with more than all of the features and settings you would expect from such a camera. After a week or so of owning it I messed up the white balance and had trouble getting things back on track. I decided to try phoning Canon support and within minutes of dialing I was talking to a support representative from Virginia. He was extremely helpful and quickly helped me to get things running again.

Cons: The white balance controls are kind of poor. It would be nice if it had better controls there.

Pros: Fast startup time and decent burst mode makes this great to catch photos of my toddler. Has HD video but better on a dedicated camcorder. Solid feel. Well balanced in hand, even with 18-135mm lens. Haven’t tried customizing settings yet, because the default “easy mode” is soooo good already. I researched DSLRs for a month before settling on this one. This is my first DSLR and i am very satisfied.

Cons: Lens doesn’t communicate zoom distance with my vivitar flash accessory (need to dial it in manually) but it does communicate wirelessly if i just hold the flash in my hand instead of the boot (nice bonus). Other Thoughts: Works great with Sandisk Extreme III class 10 memory. Makes a big difference in buffering time. I can have it on burst mode for like forever without the camera tiring.
