Replaced a Nikon DSLR and the Canon is lighter and much better in my opinion
So far so good. I upgraded to this SLR when my Nikon point and shoot crapped out on me. I have no experience with photography but found it easy to pick up this camera and start taking beautiful photos. Quality camera with lots of features. But you’ll probably need an additional lens if you want any sort of zoom.
We bought this camera right before our wedding. We had a friend take amazing photos at the wedding with it. We also took it to Montego Bay Jamaica with us which allowed us to capture some of the best pictures of the beautiful landscape. I wish I had this camera long before now.
Depending on the distance away from the camera the camera takes too long to take the picture i want. even though its on 6400 iso!

Even without knowing how to take advantage of all the features available, it’s easy enough to still take great pictures.
Was a Nikon guy before, I’m happy with the switch. It handles easy and the tech part of it is so simple I can teach beginners on it. It is well worth the price and if you can get the special with another photo lens almost for free. Its much smaller than my Nikon, and just a bit bigger than my Olympus Pen, makes it easy for traveling.
Out of the box this camera is shooting pictures 30 times better than my Powershot is30. I am blown away with the shots I’m getting. I am a total know nothing too with cameras. This is my first DSLR. I plan on learning everything about this camera and how to take better pictures. It’s inspiring almost. I had the camera for 24 hours and I am already floored.

Pros: Oh, where to start! This is my first dSLR that I can call my own, however, I have extensive knowledge of all types of cameras due to loaners, and my training. I have to say, the entire camera is a pro. Everything about it is beautiful, including the picture, and especially the video quality. I especially love the beauty of the depth of field.
Cons: Really, there’s nothing here I can say. But if I have to, the neck strap that’s included it a bit of a pain to attach, and it kind of makes me nervous. But the camera itself is amazing! Other Thoughts: Buy this camera! I think this camera definitely ranks up there with the 5D and 7D, despite the image sensor size. In all truthfulness, you can’t tell it’s only 1\3 size of a full size image sensor because the quality is almost a perfect match to a full sensor.I also have a confession: I bought the t3i because of the video. It’s crystal clear and gorgeous, and not to mention, portable. The fact that it takes pictures is a plus =)I’m building a Steadicam for it once the parts arrive.

Cons: None. Other Thoughts: Always wanted a video camera that took awesome pictures. This was it. Professional photography and professional video filming. All in one package.
Great camera, especially for newbies like myself. I love that descriptions come up on the screen whenever I switch modes or change settings. With that said, this camera is also great for more professional photographers, too. The Tilt/Swivel LCD screen is my favorite part and one of the only reasons I picked to wait for the T3i instead of buy the T2i right away. Overall, definitely worth the [$]. One piece of advice?? Buy accidental damage protection!!!
Pros: Great low light shooting, flip screen, good software, easy to use, manual audio control (can turn off crummy AGC).
Other Thoughts: UPS shipping was terrible, Not the cameras fault. They shipped from memphis to florida, then to kentucky, then back to memphis, then finally to phoenix then had to drive it to my house, the camera box was dented even though it was packaged in another box obviously these guys were playing basketball with it. Supposed to be 3 day shipping it shipped thursday it took nearly 10 days! Wow UPS is bad!Not sure if you can set the camera in slow motion to get the expanded iso 12800 but i don’t think its possible.
Cons: No wall AC jack – had to order one, no Head Phone out, didn’t come with HDMI cable, when displaying/capturing through HDMI white box appears in manual focus, but you can eliminate it by turning on auto focus but a gray line appears around the entire picture you can’t disable it. If using for live streaming I would recommend a Canon HV30 or HV40 because of the gray outline on the T3i. It maybe something that can be fixed with future firmware or magic lantern but at the moment I don’t think it can be fixed
Pros: This is my first DSLR camera and I am quite pleased. If you don’t need an articulating display or remote flash, just stick with the T2i and save some money. I plan to use the camera for video as well, so wanted the articulating screen. What else is there to say? Great mid/entry-level camera.
Other Thoughts: Originally tried to purchase this a week previously from another retailer who seemed to be the first to have them. They charged $940, but I was impatient enough to pay the premium. Due to problems on their end, they canceled my order and shipment the day before it arrived, forcing me to wait days for the refund. Once I saw that my favorite electronics retailer had it, I promptly ordered. Thanks again, Newegg!
Cons: Camera – noneNewegg – shipped from the California warehouse instead of the Memphis one, so I had to wait 1-2 days longer
