The television has a very good picture and we are pleased with it’s performance.
This is my 2nd LG LCD TV. I placed this one in the master bedroom and paired it with a Blu Ray player with internet accessibility and DLNA. The picture is granular if you are too close to the TV. The features and functions are limited compared to my 47″ LED model. I wouldn’t consider these drawbacks though. The unit was relatively inexpensive, the picture quality is fair/good. I have used this setup with Pandora and with my music library and was disappointed in the sound. The speakers are exactly what you get with any modern TV (they expect you to purchase the soundbar or a surround sound system). My disappointment isn’t really in the product as much as it is in the overall market. I will look to add a small executive bookshelf stereo or something manageable for the bedroom.
I had purchased an Insignia 32″ 720p television and brought it home. I have basic cable (which I am upgrading). I know that basic cable will look bad on a high def television, but this looked GOD AWFUL. They put a terrible tuner in it. Plus the speakers were equivalent to my laptop. -__- BUT alas, I took it back to Best Buy, and in exchange to the LG Television. I tried it out in store and it looked great. I brought it home and it exceeded my expectations. Basic cable looks amazing and my XBOX on High def looks AWESOME. Sound is GREAT quality too! BEST BUY FOR A TV.

I really like my new TV. It has a good picture, good sound, quick volume control, on and off fast. I hate TV that are slow to respond. This one is not.

This is a great product, and I would suggest it very highly for someone to buy.
I have the 550 version of the 32 in as well. This one is about the same in picture quality for HDTV viewing (720p) and use but without all the internet stuff which I still have yet to use on the 550. Anyway the main things I like is a great overall user experience for set up, channel auto tune and relatively fast channel changing (why with all this new technology is channel changing so slow, my 1980s TV changes channels instantly). So the set also has an analog headphone jack to connect to my stereo and be careful many no longer have this only that optical thing that I have no audio equipment to use with. The best picture is with the HDMI cable and this set seem to interlace a normal DVD on the HDMI to 720p something. All I know is the picture is very sharp using a standard DVD. Colors are good and bright, it has no artifacts or flicker due to a fast response. The contrast ratio is very high. The sound has this built in compressor which makes commercials lower too.
This little gem put my Panasonic and Sony TVs to shame. The picture is outstanding and the sound is very loud and clear for a flat panel. It has an excellent response time as well which works great for gaming. Very impressed with this product.
i’m very happy with my purchase it was an Easy to setup/ nice Options also the sound was Great much better than my old Insignia LCD has 3 HDMI ports which is great plus a USB port which comes in handy if you have a computer my first LG tv and defintley not my last thank you Best buy!
