Pros: Simply put, these are the best hard drives currently on the market. The only step up from here is to buy an SSD. Even the 10,000 rpm drives aren’t really much faster. These have dual controllers, etc.
Cons: None Other Thoughts: Unless you need a green drive there is no reason to get anything else. The WD Caviar Black drives are significantly faster than regular hard drives.
Pros: Good performance. Was a good size (see other thoughts).
Cons: Runs a little hot (like many 7200 RPM) hotter than the newer Seagates (ST310000524AS and …8AS) 7200 RPM. Other Thoughts: Drives just keep getting bigger and cheaper.
Pros: Had this drive for about 15 months now as a data/backup drive and still going strong. Data is written/read constantly with no issues.
Cons: None to report. Other Thoughts: Using 500GB Caviar Black for OS and no issue with that drive either.

Cons: Price Other Thoughts: With 1tb and 2TB drives under 100 usd I’d never use 750gb hds anymore for my personal builds.My client asked for a 750gb hd specifically so I got this. It works great, and is a good harddrive.
Pros: Works as intended.
Cons: None. Other Thoughts: I have had some inconsistency but I blame either my operating system or sound system (bass).
Pros: Durable – solid shaft designFast – 32mb cache

Pros: It worked when I put it in, and it still works.
Cons: Bit slow to read, but it is filled up to the BRIM. Other Thoughts: Used for “media”
Pros: Decent performance for the price, pretty quiet, no problems!
Cons: no real performance boost for RAID 0 with these Other Thoughts: ok, so I do have 6x120mm case fans, but still can’t hear the drives running if I stick my ear close
