Pros: works as it should
Cons: none Other Thoughts: bought one over 2 years ago and then bought another about a year later, no problem whatsoever with either one of them.
Pros: Excellent speed and quiet. Data stored on the drive comes up fast and transfers quicker than the premium Seagate that this drive replaced. Would but again!
Cons: Nothing really, but it doesn’t come with SATA cables so make sure you get some good ones… Other Thoughts: NewEgg Rocks as usual!
Pros: Very reasonably priced
Cons: You get what you pay for. I own 2 of these and already sent one back for RMA. As I write this I’m preparing the second one for RMA as well. Other Thoughts: Not sure what is better besides solid state.

Pros: Fairly fast.Works like it is supposed to with no issues or errors.
Cons: None Other Thoughts: I use this in a Win 7 HD hot swap arrangement for removable data storage. It’s not the cheapest drive for its size but I learned the cheaper drives are less reliable as I bought this one to replace one that failed.
Pros: as fast as i can use it for all the media files i use and enjoy. i like the promise of 5yr warranty demonstrating the reliability of this drive.
Cons: nil. Other Thoughts: using this as main data drive in a desktop with another 2.5″ scorpio black. i like the fact that it is covered with a long warranty period so that i can just pile data on it without worrying much (but i still do occasional offline backup through the usb).no complaints. after i get another bigger capacity caviar drive, i shall move this reliable drive to my wife’s computer as the primary boot drive to improve the performance.
Pros: Quiet, Fast, Huge, This is one of the best HDDs I’ve used, and it hasn’t failed me yet!

Cons: Not a SSD Other Thoughts: If you were stupid like me and used this as a system drive, make sure to make a partition just for Windows so you can nuke it should you need to and not have to wipe the whole 1 TB drive (rookie mistake)
Went dead at 6 mo. If that works for you, have at it.

I have had this HDD for 6 months now as a secondary hdd, an ssd being my primary, Ive used most of it with only 350gb free it has not failed me yet. Very efficient since it lowers rpm at idle.
I purchased this one about 8 months ago and works flawlessly. The only con I had was I thought I would actually see an improvement on the customer experience rating in Windows 7 with this hard drive over the Caviar Green series but even after update it is still 5.4 So just go with the caviar green if you not doing anything other than basic storage. You’ll save some money. Thats why I set the value to 3.
This is my 5th WD drive in 3 years with no issues. All of them are still running strong, and they are on 24-7. This is the first 1TB Black drive I have purchased. I use this drive for strictly backups, so large amounts of data get written to it at once, usually around 400GB at a time. These drives are top notch! Don’t hesitate with these, get one today!!
I bought this drive about a year ago to use for data storage. So far it’s been running without a hitch. To people who’s disks have failed: My view may be outdated but I would never trust a disk over 500 gb to be used as a boot drive. Too much chance that something may go wrong and too much will be lost if something does.
