Live action viewing such as baseball and football games sometimes have an out of focus look but watching tv shows and dvds are fine. sound is better than expected. Should have saved a little longer and bought a bigger tv.
720p is fine for a tv, great pic! be aware as others mentioned, the glass panel has much more reflection than the lcd. if u have lots of windows, with or without blinds or drapes – dark drapes should work -, ALL light will be reflected. if you can angle the tv away from the windows then go for it, otherwise pay a little more for an lcd. you will be much happier! didn’t expect much for audio, with flat panel tvs there is no room for speakers. works well enough for small room. for a larger room invest in some external speakers.
Fantastic TV – delivery is super fast and great quality… but dont get it delivered if you live upstairs they wont carry it up stairs.

This TV has a beautiful picture, decent sound, and clean, sleek styling. While it lacks some of the cool features and the input and output options of some of the other TV’s out there, at the price it is still an incredible value. I would recommend it to anyone on a budget that is looking for a decent sized TV.
I bought this tv for my Master Suite. It’s the perfect size and the price was excellent. Picture is good for the price, but beware that the screen is glossy (glass). I don’t care for the reflections and the pictures above show a tv with a matte screen like an LCD. I might have reconsidered if I knew otherwise.
Overall, this Samsung TV delivers fantastic picture quality. I loved the color quality and the deep blacks, but even at 43″, its 720p resolution becomes easy to spot. If you have a PS3 and/or a Blu-ray player, don’t bother. Spend a little more and get a full HD (1080p) display.
I had the tv for about a week when I first got the tv, I hooked up the PS3 and wasn’t satisfied, I wanted to take it back. But my friend came and changed the settings the tv says on box 720p but the PS3 is set on automatic and plays in 1920×1080 which is 1080p. This saved me an extra 200 dollars because i wanted 1080p for my games. The picture plays great on games and blu ray movies. I love the plasma because the color contrast is 4mill to 1 which is great. for a tv under $600 you can’t beat it. My roommate is taking his tv back which was an LCD 1080p because my picture on the ps3 and bluray is better than his. The box says 720p but plays in 1080p.
I have owned this TV for about a month and have no complaints. The picture is great and the sound is surprisingly great. I will be purchasing a sound bar in the near future, but the speakers on the TV work great for everyday use. It is an amazing for the price!

I bought this TV about a month ago. The price was a steal for the size and I am 99% satisfied with it as a whole. It was easy to setup. the picture is great even with a non HD cable box hook up, my PS3 picture has never looked so good, it is slim and sleek and it doubles as a great oversized computer monitor. The sound is good given the behind tv speaker setup and once it is hooked up to a surround sound system, there are no complaints. My one negative about it, is that it is advertised as having 2 HDMI ports and a PC port. This is not the case. It has 2 HDMI ports and one of them is meant to double as a PC port which requires you to have the proper cable (either a VGA to HDMI or a DVI to HDMI) in order to utilize it as a computer monitor and it will require you to get an HDMI switcher if you wish to connect more than two HDMI sources to it.
let me start by saying how great this tv is. i love samsung . my girlfriend has a 40 inch lcd and it is great to . the picture on this tv is amazing dont get caught up in the hype of 1080p no tv show is shown in 1080 .i had to have a plasma they by far have the best pictures for sports and movies . also with 600htz there is no ghosting at all when im watching sports.i play a lot of xbox cod black ops and halo reach look so good on this tv. you cant go wrong with this tv its awsome and its a samsung .if your thinking about a lcd i would recommend this tv over anything i am so happy wiyh this set thanks best buy
its a really good tv it is grainy if ur sitting 2 feet away from it but once u get a good distance the picture is great the sound is fair but i have it hooked up to a surround sound so no complaints there but like i said before if ur gonna sit 5-10 feet back the pictures looks insane expacilly playing video games
The new 43″ Samsung plasma is the best bang for your buck. Its picture quality is fantastic and offers a good variety of features and options. The menu is easy to use and the speakers offer a good sound. I’m glad I waited for the new version from the 42″. The new version offers a slim sleek profile that looks great and you get an extra inch. FYI, this TV is listed for $599, however Sams Club offers the exact TV under PDP440 instead of PDP450 for $489. Best Buy did however match Sam’s price. Also, don’t pass this up because it’s only 720p. If you’re looking in the 42″ class or smaller range, after 4 feet of distance the human eye can’t differentiate between 720 and 1080. Charter, comcast, rcn, etc. only broadcast at 720p so a 1080p tv isn’t really necessary. Plasma’s got a bad rap in the beginning due to excessive power consumption and burn ins which have all been fixed. This TV is energy star rated and has a great life expectancy. Plasma’s offer a great black depth and color spectrum which is why they are often sought out by movie lovers. Ask any of the salesmen at BB in the tv dept. and they’ll tell you they have a plasma. Plasma’s aren’t marketed like LED or LCD’s because their profit margins are less. They cost more to make. The only thing I can see being an issue is this tv only has 2 HDMI ins. Do some research and look into this tv. I’m sure it’ll meet many of your needs and the price can’t be beat.
