Upgraded from an older Sony LCD (which was rock-solid), was choosing between a Pan 60″ plasma and the KDL55EX723. Sony won, again, hands-down. A little tweaking of the colors and the Sony yields an appearance as close as reality as one can possibly imagine. Slim, sleak and simple yet packs a lot of features. Syncs with Bravia setup perfectly. I have no complaints but I know that most don’t care for the built-in speakers – I have not tried them as my amp handles my HDMI audio. Bought the 3D glass and find the whole experince to be amazing, this was a perfect upgrade for me and I’m entirely satisfied.
Well my big screen 65 inch Mitsubishi died after 8 years. So I reviewed, searched and compared for two months and finally decided on this Sony 55 inch LED TV. I also have a 42 inch Phillips Plasma TV in the bedroom but do not like it that much because it produces a lot of heat. The new Plasma TV’s are supposed to be more energy efficient but I really wanted to have an LED TV. This Sony LED TV has been great and I do not miss my Mitsubishi 65 Inch TV at all. The HD picture on my Mitsubishi was very good, but this Sony is even better, even standard TV looks great. I never watched standard TV with the Mitsubishi because it just wasn’t that good. I have Brighthouse cable subscription and use the HDMI connection. I also have a Sony Vaio laptop and connect it with the Netgear Intel Wireless Push 2 TV using the HDMI connection, the picture that is projected on the TV is even better than the screen on the laptop! It took me a while paying with the picture settings to get the picture where I wanted it, I turned off the auto light sensing feature because it made the picture too dark for my taste. The most difficult TV program to adjust was Football because the sun light changes a lot from close up angles versus wide screen stadium shots and adjusting the black colors from being too grey, or white images being too dark, but eventually I got it just right. All together I doubt that any other TV is better than this one.
Another great job by Sony. Love the apps. Picture is great. Looks awesome on the wall. Couldn’t believe it was lighter than my 46″ TV. Best Buy lived up to their name on this one.

Like many reviews I read before purchasing this TV I agree that the picture quality is awesome but the sound is disappointing. Knowing this already I purchased a Toshiba home theater sound system to make up for the TV’s lack thereof. Movies are unbelievable. It is better than going to the movies right in my living room. There is some issues with certain channels HD quality but in time all the bugs will be worked out. If your looking for the best picture out there the Sony Bravia is it.
Best TV I’ve ever had, bar none. Great picture, Excellent resolution. Regular updates.
Tied this TV to my Bravia surround sound receiver. Great sound, picture. Nice to have the two units link up and talk to each other. Typing for the internet functionality is a PITA. Haven’t tried the 3D yet but not really interested in it anyway. Set up was a breeze. Looks pretty good hangning on the wall. Sunday NFL games look great on this TV.
Yes, usually you have to pay for the name, but in todays competitive market, Sony has the best options for the price.
As always Sony is one of the best providing picture quality with a tag price that will keep your memory fresh of your bill. But when you are going to make an investment in a system that you will be using for few years, Sony is the one. Be sure that your system has the latest operating system before purchasing the item. The update for Skype and other features are done manually in some models of TV. But don’t be scared the quality of your TV still being the same. The Netflix capability is great and the speed to download the movies is great.

Great quality product. What one would expect from Sony
I used to have a Samsung DLP, then a Sony Bravia (6 year old model), and upgraded to this TV. The picture is amazing. It is like watching real life. I was back and forth between this TV and the Samsung version, but went with the Sony because it has a matte finish on the screen and has less glare. I have a living room with a lot of natural sunlight , so it is important. I dont use the TV sound since I have a receiver that I use. Be sure that your receiver is able to process the 3D picture and sound. Mine is a year too old, so I just run it through the PS3 when watching 3D movies. I may upgrade the receiver later.
